We have had a static page here since January 1995 with no more than a philosophy of vibration-based predictive maintenance. It stood unchanged because, frankly, we have had nothing to sell.
Corvib does provide vibration analysis services and in-place balancing as we have done since 1974. This though, is a regional service and the internet is not ideal for promoting local services.
In the last month, we have been tracking the traffic on our entire site - and surprise - this is our third most active page and it is number 1 for the amount of time people spend on it!
With that in mind, we thought it prudent to make the Vibration portion of our site of greater value to the readership of the internet community who chose to spend their valuable moments on our pages.
Below are our first two links. The original philosophy of vibration analysis and its place in the general predictive maintenance scheme of things called "Vibration Primer". Below that is our first interactive, useful resource utility - the Balance Tolerance Calculator which is taken from the ISO DR1940 (yes it is old but still relevant). This specification is useful for those who perform shop balancing and those who specify balance tolerances. We do not guarantee the accuracy in that we ask you use it at your own discretion, but we have double checked it and we feel it is right on the money.
